Chirascan Circular Dichroism Spectrometer

Unmatched performance in CD meaurements
Overview

Chirascan is the world's most advanced equilibrium circular dichroism spectrometer with performance unrivalled by any other circular dichroism instrument currently available. The technological innovation in its design is manifested in its ability to deliver stunning spectra in a fraction of the time taken by alternative instruments. The outstanding sensitivity and data accuracy available on Chirascan will reveal never-before-seen detail in your circular dichroism spectra.
Performance
Unique dual polarising prism optics and high throughput F/7 optical coupling provide unmatched far-UV light throughput and enable operation at extended spectral bandwidths. A sealed optical path minimises gas purge loss, so both consumption and start up times are minimal. An all-new digital drive system provides exceptional wavelength and slit-width accuracy. Ultra-low noise demodulation electronics are combined with state of the art data acquisition including automatic gain control providing excellent dynamic range and eliminating the need for circular dichroism range selection. Spectral acquisition employs fixed wavelength digital averaging of the raw photometric signals yielding spectra that are always accurate and free of analogue filtering artefacts.
Software and Data Acquisition
The Chirascan features our all new Pro-Data instrument software and electronics systems running under Windows™ XP.
Versatility
A wide range of accessories are available for the Chirascan, which can be purchased either at the time of initial purchase, or in the future.
Applied Photophysics is continuously introducing new accessories and enhancing detection modes ensuring our customers remain at the cutting edge of their research.
